The Cast-in Plates Forum is the centre point of IDEA StatiCa UK's Cast-in Plates campaign — bringing together engineers, industry specialists and the IDEA StatiCa team for an afternoon dedicated to one of structural engineering's most challenging connection types.
The event combines a practical technical workshop with open engineering discussion and an informal networking reception, creating an opportunity to learn, exchange experience and connect with other professionals working on complex structural connections.
Who we have invited
To keep the discussion focused and genuinely useful, this is a limited-space event. Invitations have been extended to senior structural and connection-design professionals across the practices below. Final attendees will be confirmed nearer the event.
The list reflects organisations invited to take part, not confirmed attendees. It will be updated as registrations are confirmed.
One more innovation
IDEA StatiCa has transformed the way engineers approach complex steel connections. Now we are extending that approach to cast-in plates.
The new solution allows engineers to model and analyse the complete connection rather than treating individual parts in isolation.
From the steelwork to the concrete — understand the complete connection in one engineering workflow.

The forum experience
A practical technical session exploring cast-in plate design, modelling approaches, engineering challenges and real examples using IDEA StatiCa.
An open forum for engineers to exchange experiences, ask technical questions and discuss difficult or unusual cast-in plate connections.
An informal reception bringing together structural engineers, industry professionals and the IDEA StatiCa team.
This is intentionally a small event, allowing meaningful technical discussion and interaction between attendees.
What we will explore
A concise agenda for engineers working across steel, plate, anchorage and concrete.
Cast-in plate design challenges
Understanding the complete load path
Steel-to-plate behaviour
Anchor forces and behaviour
Interaction with concrete
Complex geometries and loading
Modelling strategies
Common engineering assumptions and mistakes
Interpretation of analysis results
Practical project examples
